Denise Tomazic is a strategic business partner actively involved in the value-added proposition of community partnership. She has successfully held a series of professional leadership roles during her 30 years of experience, utilizing business expertise to create and sustain effective relationships with clients, team members and stakeholders. She has provided support for the service, manufacturing and IT industries.
Denise considers herself a “corporate entrepreneur,” creatively navigating and providing innovative solutions while expanding the flexibility and vision of a group or organization. At the core of her experience has been a passion for workforce and economic development initiatives for which she has forged partnerships in both Lake and Geauga counties. Most recently, she spent six years affiliated with Ohio Means Job Geauga, on behalf of CGI Federal creating, developing and facilitating the business services model. Through this valued relationship, she was able to meet with businesses, economic development and community partners, and serve as a conduit in providing resources for programs on talent management and partnerships for business stability and targeted growth. Denise is passionate about bringing people together “simply by starting the conversation.”
She was awarded a B.A in Business from Ursuline College, an MBA from Lake Erie College, and holds two Senior Level Human Resource Certifications, one from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and one from HR Certification Institute. She has previously served on the boards of Geauga County United Way, Lake/Geauga SHRM Workforce Development Chair, and Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce. She is also a Leadership Lake County alumnae.
